Did You Know How To Stop Being Irritated?

Do You Know How To Stop Being Irritated?

How to stop being irritated

How to stop being irritated
How to treat being irritated

Do you have such symptoms?

  • Suddenly, you are getting irritated by something you didn’t care about before
  • You are irritated when things don’t go as expected
  • You are frustrated with a bit thing

If you have one of these signs, please read this blog because I want to discuss how to stop being irritated.

The Causes of Irritability

The cause of irritability is from the lack of the happy hormone, which is called Serotonin.

Serotonin is a hormone that manages your mood, and your body secrets it when you are so pleasant.

It calms your mind, and sometimes we call it a “happy hormone.”

This happy hormone controls a stress hormone, which is called Noradrenaline.

But, there is a particular time your happy hormone decreased, such as lack of sleep, before and during menopause.

Thus, you will need the hormone to manage the stress.

When does your happy hormone decrease?

Lack of sleep

Your Serotonin secretes and stores during the daytime. It will be the switch to Melatonin at night.

But, if you lack sleep, you can’t manage and use these hormones, and you can’t sleep even more.

Thus, it makes the negative cycles, and eventually, you will get irritated.

PMS

PMS is one of the major reasons to be irritated
PMS is one of the significant reasons to be irritated

Before the period, your female hormone (Estrogen) level decreases.

When a reduction in the female hormone engaged in the production of Serotonin can lead to a deficiency of Serotonin.

It can lead to uncontrolled emotions and irritability.

That is why you get irritated for no reason during the PMS.

Menopause

For women around 50’s, they turn to the stage of menopause.

At this time, your estrogen level decreases significantly, leading to a deficiency of serotonin production.

So that is another factor that you are irritated, anxious, depressed, etc.

How to stop being irritated by a lack of Serotonin?

Diet

We produce Serotonin in the brain, but it requires the essential amino acid called Tryptophan as its material.

Tryptophan is turned to as Serotonin in the brain during the day and Melatonin, promoting sleep at night.

Therefore, a lack of tryptophan can cause insomnia and poor sleep quality.

However, the human body cannot make it by itself.

Hence, we have to get it from the diet.

What kind of food contains Tryptophan?

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, we treat irritability with a different approach.

When you get irritated, we call that your Liver energy (Qi) doesn’t go through and stagnate like a balloon.

You can see this condition more in women because they have menstruation, lifestyle, characters, etc.

And, emotional depression due to mental stress is a cause of many other illnesses.

According to Chinese medicine theory, stasis of qi causes blood stasis (stasis), resulting in systemic dysfunction like chest tightness and pain.

In addition, liver energy quickly affects on stomach (digestive system); it affects the digestive system, causing burping, acid reflux, low appetite, etc.
